Hello everyone! I’ve got an incredibly special treat for you today! Grab a coffee or tea and enjoy Episode 2 of the Bible Art Journalist’s Roundup Interview!
“Episode 2?” Yes, back in May 2015, I did the very first Bible Art Journalist Roundup Interview with 7 lovely ladies… Shanna Noel, Jann Gray, Heather Greenwood, Natalie Elphinstone, April Crosier, Lisa Montgomery and Valerie Sjodin!
That round up interview has easily been one of the most popular posts on my blog to date. I realize you want more of what you love and so, I’m turning this into a series! I’ve so enjoyed putting Episode 2 together and getting to know these sweet ladies. You’re going to love this! I will release a new roundup interview episode every 2-3 months or so (as time permits), for this foreseeable future. Sign up for my emails if you want to be notified when these happen.
Today, I’ve got 5 amazing women to share with you… Lauren Lanker (Thinking Closet), Melissa Fischer (Fischtales & RuthOneSixteen) and Sara (Seasons Illustrated), as well as Michelle Hotchkiss and Brigitta Litfin. Some of these ladies you may recognize, some may be new to you. That’s half the fun of this! The other half is in what they have to say. [click to continue…]

Hello Everyone! Welcome to lesson 3 in the Bible Art Journaling Challenge series, Heaven Is Calling! Join me in learning some mixed media Bible journaling techniques with Inktense, Distress Ink and Pitt Pens as we talk about recognizing God’s voice. If you’ve not seen lesson one, or lesson two yet, I encourage you to start at the beginning so we can go on a journey together in this free 12-part devotional series.
In this lesson today, I want to pick back up on a story we discussed in lesson one. Hannah had cried out for a son and God had granted her request. Years later, that son Samuel was essentially being raised in the temple under Eli, the man who first told Hannah that her request would be granted from God. Samuel hadn’t yet known how to recognize God’s voice and how to [click to continue…]
Hello everyone! So, I often get requests for my recommendations and reviews on products and supplies I’ve had experience with. Today I’ve got a fun review for you of some Illustrated Faith products which I am certain you are going to LOVE to see as I show you through them! It has been unusual for me to create such posts because of time constraints, but I know you ask for them and here I am offering a review shortly after my giant haul post!
Allow me to share my review of some new Illustrated Faith supplies I got on Dayspring.com and how I’ve started to use them in my own Bible!
If you follow me on social media, you may have noticed that I recently became an affiliate of Dayspring. You can learn about what that means and how this art ministry is supported, on my affiliate disclosure page. I became an affiliate when Illustrated Faith launched a new partnership with Dayspring that I know you’ll just LOVE. I don’t want to miss out sharing products I love, that are designed particularly for Bible art journaling, because I get SO many questions about this topic and know it is key for helping you enjoy the process of connecting with the Word creatively. I want the supplies you use, to make it easy for you to forget about the supplies and just enjoy encountering Jesus through creativity. I feel like the founder of Illustrated Faith, (Shanna Noel), has found that sweet spot, where the supplies she sells seem designed for frustration free creative time in the Word. So let me [click to continue…]
Hello everyone! As you may remember, I returned from a trip to America in December. I went to film an exciting new online class I have developed with Scrapbook.com, which will become available on their website early 2016. They were so generous in supplies with me, as we worked hard to develop a beautiful and excellent class. Some of the supplies you’ll see here, will be in the class and some are ones I bought while away on my trip… on amazing Black Friday sales, I’ll add!! 🙂
I’ve been desperate to show you all the fun stuff I got and finally am able to share this! Come with me as I show you through this giant haul of 217 art and craft supplies, yes, 217! I’ll warn you, it’s a long video. But I thought you might enjoy it, if I just talked you through these new supplies and hope you enjoy the video! Below are visual links to every supply I show in the video!
I know you are going to love some of these supplies and I’m excited to share them with you! [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! Welcome to lesson two in the Bible Art Journaling Challenge series, Heaven Is Calling! If you’ve not seen lesson one yet, I encourage you to start at the beginning so we can go on a journey together in this 12-part devotional series. In this lesson today, I want to carry on from learning about our good God, to talking about His loving pursuit of us.
But first let me say, you all have been so kind and supportive while I’ve been recovering from a cold which has delayed my blog posting the past several weeks. After a busy season last year, I am grateful to be running a new and exciting schedule, which also has given me some space to rest. I am nearly recovered which is on schedule with others in my local area, who had the same thing I got. While the cold delayed my progress on my upcoming online classes, I’m chipping away at them in the background and will be so excited to share them as they come together.
Now, about this lesson! It’s even got a free download!
