Hello Everyone! Welcome to lesson 11 in the Bible Art Journaling Challenge series, Heaven Is Calling!
I’ve heard from a lot of people that they enjoy watching my videos and feel inspired by the idea of Bible journaling, BUT they still need to actually start Bible journaling!! They just watch the videos and haven’t started… am I talking to you??? Time to get started y’all! This is the perfect Bible Art Journaling Challenge for you. Everyone can enjoy this because it’s super packed with fun and teaching.
Since last month, I’ve been working on this special Bible Art Journaling Challenge. I reached out to Dayspring and asked them if they could send me some supplies, to support what was on my heart and they were generous.
I want to show you through, how to

When I first started Bible art journaling, I soon realized what everyone does… I have A LOT to learn. Bible art journaling mistakes abounded. Of course, we all have a lot to learn about God, His Word and His ways. And that is what the focus of Bible art journaling is. But in this post, I’m just keeping it super practical.
The questions came at me from all sides. “How do I avoid bleed through in my journaling Bible?” “Which art supplies are prone to bleed through?” “Which art supplies are less archival?” “Which art supplies should never be used in a Bible?” “How do I layer lots of color in my Bible, without it bleeding through to the back of my Bible page?” “How do I make sure that my Bible art journaling is always transparent?” “Which pens are best to use in my Bible?” And on, and on, and on… the questions go.

Hello Everyone! Welcome to lesson 10 in the Bible Art Journaling Challenge series, Heaven Is Calling! I thought it was long overdue, for me to talk with you about Bible journaling on a budget. I’ve got a simple idea for you, that is great for when you’re squeezed for time and it’s easy enough for anyone to make it their own.
I am ultra short on time currently, because I’ve got SUPER exciting news rolling out over the next week… my long awaited online course, Page Prep! It’s making life full currently, but oh SO exciting.
If you’ve not entered your email over on www.PagePrep.com to learn about my coming course, you’re about to miss some fun stuff, (including a subscriber giveaway for a couple of course scholarships). 🙂
With limited time, I figured that now is a great time, to show you through how to create in your Bible, when time is short. In this video, I also show you how to watercolor in your Bible, without needing to page prep first. I’m hoping it will be a real help to you. I get LOTS of questions about avoiding bleed through. And… LOTS of questions about Bible journaling on a budget.
If you want to learn more about
Hello Everyone! Welcome to lesson 9 in the Bible Art Journaling Challenge series, Heaven Is Calling! I’ve got a brief blog post and a packed video for you! I put the camera on live and pulled out my stamps, to just spend some time with you in this lesson. In this Heaven Is Calling series we’re talking about connecting with a good God and today, I want to talk to you about what happens when we need to find our way back into the loving arms of Jesus. We’ll look at the life of King David in the Bible and how he dealt with re-connecting with God. This is a tough topic, but it wouldn’t be right to focus on connecting with a good God, if we didn’t cover what to do when we’re disconnected.
If you’re needing to find your way to God, you’ll love this and if you’re already feeling connected with Him, I hope you find this lesson gives you thoughts on how to steward that connection and foster more depth of relationship with God. We can all use turning our heart closer toward God and focusing in on our connection with Him. This is deep and good stuff! I hope you don’t mind the extra time I’m taking with you in this video lesson. It’s important stuff.
It’s STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp this month, so I did some page prep on my Bible page and got stamping and coloring! I have always thought STAMPtember is a lot of fun and I am pleased to not only be an affiliate of Simon Says Stamp, but also to add my own twist to STAMPtember, right in my Bible, with this lesson! I love how easy and [click to continue…]
Hello everyone! I’ve got an art journal tutorial for you today! I’ve long been asked how to creatively process time in the Word, outside of the Bible. You know… Bible journaling, but not inside the Bible. 🙂 Not everyone is comfortable creating inside of a Bible and I often get requests for these types of tutorials. It’s honestly something I’ve been doing far longer than Bible journaling and I’m excited to share a tutorial with you today!
The sweet folks at His Kingdom Come have asked me to join their Take Me Deeper series, as a featured artist. They’re taking the year focusing in on things God says about us. Each featured artist is taking a different statement of who “I am” in Christ. I was happy to agree to join and so today, I have for you an, “I am” creative prompt!
If you’re coming back as a regular part of my community, brand new to me, or joining from the His Kingdom Come series, thanks so much for hanging out with me today! I hope you’ll enjoy my video art journal tutorial and then get creating! [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! Welcome to lesson 8 in the Bible Art Journaling Challenge series, Heaven Is Calling!
In my Scrapbook.com class, Inspired Faith (lesson 9), I taught on the same section of scripture that I want to touch on today.
Sometimes, we create in our Bible and later have more thoughts to add to the same topic. I often get questions about what to do when you’ve already added your creative illustrations to a Bible page, only to have more thoughts later and no space for them. I had a few ideas for this lesson but I thought this would be a great opportunity to show you
