Hey friends! It’s been an incredible year so far and I want to share some of what God has been doing. And… I’ve got exciting stuff to share.
So firstly, I often get asked how many people are being reached by what I’m doing. Who is discovering this creative journey I’m on with God and who is choosing to come along for the ride. You know, the numbers.
I want to be transparent with you and share how things have been going [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! It is week 30 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge! I was overwhelmed by the response to my week 28 Bible Art Journaling Challenge which covered simple colored pencil blending. I shouldn’t have been surprised, given the countless times I’ve been asked about them. But, I guess I had no idea how wide-spread the desire is, to learn about them. In that tutorial I shared about how to blend two colors of colored pencil together. Simple stuff.
Today, I am keeping it simple still. I want to share about [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! It is week 29 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge! This week I’ve sensed a real key breakthrough is available for those in need. Myself and those in the creative communities around me, are standing with each of you for the breakthrough you are stepping in to and I am SO excited by the amazing testimonies which are already starting to come in!
So, before you get in to this post any further, can I ask you to go read my brief post from Tuesday if you have not yet? It’s titled, “Let’s Talk Breakthrough…” and you can read it here. This Bible Art Journaling Challenge doesn’t sit alone today. That short post is needed for you to fully grasp what I’m sharing today.
You’ll notice in that post, I shared about a bridge and today, I’m going to be showing you how to paint a bridge with Inktense Pencils! They are a huge favorite of mine for Bible art journaling and this is simple stuff anybody can do. I want to [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! As many of you know, I have been releasing a new blog post every Tuesday since the beginning of 2015 for my Bible Art Journaling Challenge. Today is Tuesday. I woke up early, working on the finishing touches to this weeks challenge. And then I had the sudden need for a nap before finishing.
This is strange for me. I’ve not had a nap in a long while and certainly not at 9am! I have long given up resisting such odd things in my life, as they generally are God trying to do something. And He was.
I woke up an hour later no more refreshed for having slept, but a word was stirring in my heart. It was so strong I decided to abandon finishing the challenge straight away to share it on facebook on my page and in the groups I admin. I’ll share it with you in a moment.
After prayer and consideration, I’ve decided to postpone my challenge this week until Friday in order to [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! It is week 28 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge!
I have lost track how many countless times people have asked me about how to use colored pencils in our Bibles. I am finally sharing an introductory to it all with a simple colored pencil blending tutorial while focusing on an ENTIRE [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! It’s been six months since I started the Bible Art Journaling Challenge and my Bible is filling up with fun art and memories with God, and all of you! I’ve been asked several times to share a flip through of my Bible art journaling. Today, I’m sharing. Why? This week I’ve hit the amount of subscribers I wildly asked God for by the end of 2015, in six months!
On Tuesday this week, I shared about it on my facebook page and want to tell you about it here too and then show you a flip through of my NASB Note-Taker’s Bible, plus [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! It is week 27 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge! Can you believe it?! That means I’ve now issued a full six months worth of challenges for you to have fun digging in to. What a ton of memories we’ve made together and what fun, that we’ve still got so much more to come!
Please don’t pressure yourself to go back and do all the challenges if you’re newer to me. Just do what speaks to you and hop in where you feel excited to join me. This isn’t about completing things. This is about being in God’s Word and loving every minute of it. The result? Hiding the Word in our heart and falling more in love with Jesus while splashing some color around.
To start off this second half of the year, I’ve created a challenge that has turned out to be fun, messy, bright and even a little hilarious. I made [click to continue…]
