Hello Everyone! Welcome to week 41 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge! One of the top questions I get asked regularly, is what to do about creating on the back side of a Bible page. Essentially, some art supplies can bleed to the back side of Bible pages without page prep applied first and then people can feel they are stuck with one beautiful side and one side that is basically “ruined”. I often get asked what to do in such a situation and today I’m going to show you!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to lesson 3 in the Bible Art Journaling Challenge series, Heaven Is Calling! Join me in learning some mixed media Bible journaling techniques with Inktense, Distress Ink and Pitt Pens as we talk about recognizing God’s voice. If you’ve not seen lesson one, or lesson two yet, I encourage you to start at the beginning so we can go on a journey together in this free 12-part devotional series.
In this lesson today, I want to pick back up on a story we discussed in lesson one. Hannah had cried out for a son and God had granted her request. Years later, that son Samuel was essentially being raised in the temple under Eli, the man who first told Hannah that her request would be granted from God. Samuel hadn’t yet known how to recognize God’s voice and how to [click to continue…]

Hello everyone! As you may remember, I returned from a trip to America in December. I went to film an exciting new online class I have developed with Scrapbook.com, which will become available on their website early 2016. They were so generous in supplies with me, as we worked hard to develop a beautiful and excellent class. Some of the supplies you’ll see here, will be in the class and some are ones I bought while away on my trip… on amazing Black Friday sales, I’ll add!! 🙂
I’ve been desperate to show you all the fun stuff I got and finally am able to share this! Come with me as I show you through this giant haul of 217 art and craft supplies, yes, 217! I’ll warn you, it’s a long video. But I thought you might enjoy it, if I just talked you through these new supplies and hope you enjoy the video! Below are visual links to every supply I show in the video!
I know you are going to love some of these supplies and I’m excited to share them with you! [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! Welcome to week 16 of my Bible Art Journaling Challenge! Last week I shared a peak of some art supply experimentation, over on my Instagram and Facebook Page. Everyone loved it and while I love doing my own drawing and illustration, I didn’t actually draw that cute bird everyone was loving. I just colored it in, which is something we can all do.
I finally got my hands on [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! Welcome to week 26 of my Bible Art Journaling Challenge! We all have times when we really want to spend time in the Word but time is not on our side. My mom always fought this by writing scriptures on 3×5 cards and taping them ALL over the house. Everywhere we spent lots of time, there were 3×5 cards to read while doing that thing. But what about creating in our Bibles? How do we make time for that?
My answer is to pick simpler techniques. When I have time, why wouldn’t I spend 7 hours painting a lion, or creating a self-portrait? When I don’t have time, why not do something simple and bold that lets me steal moments in the Word. Join me as I show you one of the quickest techniques [click to continue…]
Hey friend! I’ve had SOOO many questions about the Illustrating Bible. The paper is 75% thicker than traditional Journaling Bible paper. It seems natural that I should do an Illustrating Bible supplies test with the favorite supplies we all love and/or want to use for Bible journaling. Last week I did a full Illustrating Bible video review. Earlier this week I went on to create a Journaling Bible Paper Thickness video which many of you found really helpful. Yesterday I tested 86 pens in the Illustrating Bible and today, we’re looking at an Illustrating Bible art supplies test!
An Illustrating Bible Art Supplies Test
In this post, I’ve got a video, supplies linked and a free download so you can test your own art supplies in whatever Bible you have! Let’s get started with this Illustrating Bible supplies test! Below I’ll
Hello Everyone! Welcome to week 37 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge! This week I splashed color EVERYWHERE with something called Brusho. I did a Brusho technique with masks which I’m excited to share with you!
In week 8 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge, I did a rather wild and invasive Bible art journaling technique in my NASB Note-Taker’s Bible. I wanted to share here what I said about my Bible then, as it really applied again with my Single Column ESV Journaling Bible…
“I really wanted to break my Bible in a bit. Do something creatively with it which would finally make it feel like I wasn’t making another person’s book beautiful. Like, it was too precious to mess up and be real with. I wanted to OWN that book for myself and feel it has finally made home with me.”
I feel like this week, I’ve done [click to continue…]
