Yesterday I shared a quick picture in the Prophetic Arts For Jesus group on facebook and asked the question,”Anyone else use acrylic inks or sprays in your artwork? 🙂 ” I love how vibrant they are and enjoy their permanent quality which allows for great layering without everything going muddy. Great for so many art applications! There were several people who were chatting about it so I figured it would be great to do a quick video sharing what I know about making sprays out of acrylic inks and how [click to continue…]

My friends recently bought their first house and I wanted to create a house warming gift for them. The wife enjoys bold color choices so I took the opportunity to try out some different styles than I wouldn’t normally go for and hope they enjoy how it turned out.
I used several colors of Distress Ink along with some Distress Paint and Distress Stain. Also, some other Tim Holtz products were used but before I give it all away, I’ll leave you with the video! I hope you enjoy it and [click to continue…]

In week 8 of the Bible Art Journaling Challenge, I did a rather wild and invasive Bible art journaling technique in my NASB Note-Taker’s Bible. I wanted to share here what I said about my Bible then, as it really applied again with my Single Column ESV Journaling Bible…
“I really wanted to break my Bible in a bit. Do something creatively with it which would finally make it feel like I wasn’t making another person’s book beautiful. Like, it was too precious to mess up and be real with. I wanted to OWN that book for myself and feel it has finally made home with me.”
I feel like this week, I’ve done [click to continue…]
Hello Everyone! Welcome to week 25 of my Bible Art Journaling Challenge! This week I pulled out a beautiful old Bible I found at a charity shop here in England. It says it was published in M.DCCC.LV. That’s the roman numeral for the year 1855!
This Bible was appointed to be read in churches. It was a real treasure to find and I really enjoy using it for creative purposes to give it use again and enjoy it rather than allowing it to sit and collect dust somewhere.
For this challenge, I used Twinkling H2O’s and Yasutomo Pearlescent Watercolor. Both are stunning in person and hard to catch on camera. I admittedly thought I’d find the shimmery effect to look tacky when I first used them. Quite the opposite occurred. I got left with [click to continue…]

God is the ultimate [click to continue…]

Bible art journaling is something so many of us are enjoying these days. Yet, often people don’t join in because they don’t know how their art supplies will act on their Bible page. The BIG question seems to be, “Will it bleed through?!?” What is supposed to be all about the process of being in God’s presence and spending time in His Word, can start out as a scary feeling of trying to understand our art supplies in new ways. It all feels very technical to some. It doesn’t have to be this way! I want to try to take some of the mystery out of it [click to continue…]
